The LEGAL REVOLUTION 2019 had almost twice as many visitors as the first Expo & Congress in 2017

1,200 participants meet at Europe's major Expo & Congress for Legal Tech.

The LEGAL REVOLUTION Expo & Congress went into its third round on December 4th! 70 exhibitors, 50 lectures and panels, 15 workshops, as well as, 100 individual and group coaching sessions, show the entire value chain of modern legal services and they discuss in two days topics like:

  • Legal Tech und Compliance Tech
  • Legal Innovation and Digitization of Law
  • Legal Issues of the Digital Economy
  • Business and Change Management in the Legal Market

Given the increasing number of alternative legal service providers, Jochen Brandhoff opened the LEGAL REVOLUTION 2019 with the words: "The law no longer belongs to the lawyers alone. The lawyers have it all in their own hands, what role they play in the future legal market. It is not the task of the legislature and the courts to stop the technical and business progress in the legal market and reserve legal services to lawyers.”

At the Justice Panel, the President of the Appellate Court Celle, Stefanie Otte, the President of Administrative Court Göttingen, Dr. Stefanie Killinger, the President of the Regional Court Munich I, Dr. Andrea Schmidt, the former Federal Constitutional Court Judge, Prof. Dr. Reinhard Gaier, and - as a moderator - the Chief Editor of the NJW, Tobias Freudenberg, discussed the status quo of electronic legal transactions and the prospects of a digital justice system.

In addition to the services and products of more than 70 exhibitors from 11 countries, interactive workshops and coaching are among the highlights for visitors, for example "Legal Project Management," "Google Design Sprint for Legals," etc.

At tomorrow's closing event, it will be officially announced that the Myanmar fundraising campaign has raised 3,853.65 EUR. Jochen Brandhoff has decided to increase the donation amount to 10,000 EUR. This sum flows 100% into the construction of a school in Myanmar.

More than 1,200 participants, mainly from legal departments, law firms, compliance departments, IT departments, universities, the judiciary, and politics will come together this year.

This means that the LEGAL REVOLUTION attracted significantly more visitors and exhibitors in the third year than in previous years. From 650 participants at the first LEGAL REVOLUTION in 2017, the number of participants rose to 850 (30% growth compared to the previous year) in 2018, and almost doubling in total this year with 1,200 participants (40% growth compared to the previous year). The proportion of visitors from outside Germany has also doubled compared to last year. The most strongly represented countries were Great Britain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, the USA, Russia, Sweden, Brazil, and Israel.

Exhibitor numbers have increased from 50 in the first year, to 59 in the second year, and now to 72 this year.

The LEGAL REVOLUTION 2020 will take place on November 30 and December 1 in Kap Europa, Frankfurt am Main.
